The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has remained adamant in his quest for “No Election in Anambra” come November 18, 2017.

Kanu reiterated his stance during a meeting with Southeast governors on Wednesday.

He equally reject pleas drop his agitation for Biafra or at least change his approach.

Elombah.com gathered that the governors were frustrated after a failed bid to convince the IPOB leadership otherwise.
The hours-long closed door meeting took place at the Enugu state Government House in the capital city.

The governors had invited Kanu hoping to use issues concerning the alleged violation of his bail conditions as bait for his retraction which proved abortive.

It could be recalled that the Attorney-General of the Federation [AGF] and Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami had, on behalf of the Federal Government asked the federal High Court in Abuja to issue an order to re-arrest him.

His call bothered on the fact that Kanu has broken the 3 main conditions of his bail, namely, that he must not hold rallies, must not grant interviews, and must not be in a crowd of more than 10 people.

Not only that Kanu had violated the bail conditions, but he has as well establish his own police, army and secret service.

The application for revocation of the bail is in process. The court will hear that application after recess.

The governors, therefore, called him and pleaded that he talk to his supporters to relapse on the Biafran pursuit.

The adamant Kanu, reportedly told the governors that his supporters are merely pursuing the most sacred cause in life – freedom!

He insisted that “Biafrans want freedom which is life”.
The governors also attempted to dissuade him from establishing the Biafra Secret Service (BSS), recently inaugurated at Umuahia, Abia state, an act the police has vehemently kicked against.

The meeting was attended by some prominent Igbo leaders as constitutional lawyer, Prof Ben Nwabueze and Deputy Secretary General, Igbo Leaders of Thought (ILT), Evangelist Elliot Uko.
Others were Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Deputy Governor of Anambra state, Dr Nkem Okeke.

Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha and his Abia State counterpart, Okezie Ikpeazu, were conspicuously absent.
These also begged him to drop Biafra agitation momentarily but adamant Kanu wouldn’t budge.

The frustrated governors suspended the meeting and decided to have further discussions with him and his IPOB group.
The Ebonyi State Governor and Chairman of the Southeast Governors Forum, Dave Umahi assured that they would further dialogue with Kanu and the leadership of IPOB.

Recently, the personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social media, Lauretta Onochie, also called that Kanu be pulled back to detention haven violated his bail conditions.
“Time will come when Kanu will be locked up, and the keys thrown into the Atlantic Ocean”, she said.

In her statement on Facebook tagged, ‘Due process, being followed on little Nnamdi Kanu’, Lauretta described Kanu’s followers as touts, hooligans and hoodlums who do not have formal education and thus were incapacitated in processing information or responding civilly.

According to her, Nigerians should be patient and wait for the court to look into the evidence of Kanu’s spitting on the face of the Judge who granted him the bail.

In her words, “I’m hopeful that the right thing will be done. Which is lock him up and dump the keys in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
